Many people ask when buying latex mattresses: Where is the best latex? Today, let me explain to you 👇
– 1.Currently, rubber trees are widely cultivated and produce the highest amount of rubber in Southeast Asian countries. Among them, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Sri Lanka, and India account for 90% of the world’s rubber production, with Thailand having better latex quality.
-2. China also has rubber tree planting areas, mainly distributed along the coast of southern China, but with very little production. Hainan is the main production area, and its production and quality are not as good as Southeast Asian countries, resulting in slightly inferior latex products.
-3. Only rubber trees that are over 6 years old can be harvested for milk production. Each tree only has 30CC of latex juice per day. After calculation, it takes 2 days to make a pillow from the latex juice of 50 rubber trees. Therefore, the preciousness of natural latex is self-evident.

Which process of latex is good
There are two main processes for producing latex mattresses in the world: Dunlop and Talalay processes. Some people say Dunlop process is good, while others say Tralei process is good. In essence, the two major production areas choose different processes. Southeast Asia mainly produces Dunlop process, while Europe and America mainly produce Tralei process. Both processes can produce high-quality latex.
1.Dunlop process was born in the 1920s, consisting of mixing, foaming, injection molding, vulcanization, rinsing, drying, etc;
2.The Trare process was born in the 1940s and consists of mixing, injection molding, vacuum, freezing, vulcanization, rinsing, drying, and other processes.
The easy to understand distinction is that Dunlop foams by heating, while Trare foams by vacuum.
Dunlop latex is slightly denser and more supportive, while Traore latex is slightly lighter and softer, with little difference in experience.

How to distinguish the quality of latex
Remember ‘one look, two smells, three breaks’.
At first glance:the color of natural latex is white with a yellowish tint. It feels slightly rough to the touch and does not reflect light. There are irregular “tear marks” at the punched holes; Poor quality latex white is glaring, reflective, with “tear marks” and pores. They are all very uniform.
Second smell: In order to mask the smell of additives, inferior latex will add many essence, which will smell like inferior perfume nose. Natural latex has no odor, it has a faint latex smell.
Triple break: Natural latex has good toughness, even if you grab a corner and lift it up, it won’t easily break. There are many low-quality latex additives that break easily when broken.
